About the Psychologist

I am Suhaila Latif Ameer, a dual registered Clinical Psychologist with the HPCSA (South Africa) and NZPB (New Zealand). I completed my Masters in Clinical Psychology in 2006, Suma Cum Laude (UKZN). My research explored the disclosure process of child rape victims. My PhD explores grooming, which is the preparatory period to sexually abusing a child/adult.

I have 17 years of experience in Clinical and Forensic Psychology that extends to both the public and private sector; and in inpatient, outpatient, assessment and community centres. I currently provide S333 reports for the Youth Court, Pre-Sentencing reports for the District Court and Parole Board Reports for the New Zealand Parole Board, and adult ADHD assessments. I am contracted to ACC as a Sensitive Claims provider.
